explanation
A cotton skirt from the Edwardian period in England in the 1900s.
The hem is luxuriously decorated with traditional tatting lace.
Tatting lace is a delicate lace technique that uses small, boat-shaped spools of thread called shuttles to create knots.
It does not require any large equipment, and once you have mastered the technique, you can knit without looking at your hands, so it was loved by aristocrats in the 18th and 19th centuries as a practical hobby that saved candles.
The lace, which is steeped in history, has a beautiful transparency, and the shadows that intertwine delicately with the luxurious gathers at the softly gathered waist.
The waist is adjustable with a string, and the length is long enough to be worn beautifully by taller people.
This is a timeless piece that exudes the warmth and elegance of handcrafted workmanship.
